Rock and Roll Records, Inc. was founded in Minneapolis, MN in 2003. The first artist signed was Filthy Divine who released their debut album, "This Is …", in August 2004, recorded at Wes Schuck's Two Fish Studios and Aquarium Records, engineered by Luke Harper. The label was put on hiatus for 20 years, only selling merchandise and supporting the band, as Founder Nick Torres took time off to pursue other financial interests in the financial services sector and legal studies arena. Now, after two decades on the pause button, Nick has pressed Play. Rock and Roll Records has released and will be re-releasing prior projects that are just as relevant today as they were when they were recorded. From the high energy of punk/pop Rock Fabric, a late nineteen-eighty Sex Pistols "rip-off," to the eclectic and cerebral rock opera, The Most Triumphant Return of Major Tom by Prefix, Rock and Roll Records shows the diverse nature of its representation. Soon to drop at the end of 2022, the release of Twisted Fantasies, another epic concept album, and Nick "el
Gato" solo album, extolling the misery of WW-I through the mystical story of the Musician Solder, His Love, and the evil Magian and his hellish music-box. In 2023, Rock and Roll Records will be looking to expand its representation portfolio, and in conjunction with Filthy Divine Publishing, will be taking submissions and touring the country for possible candidates to add to the roster. Early submission through the Rock and Records website may be opened by late 2021 if the production of current projects permits.
Rock and Roll Records will also be working in partnership with its sister company, Dream Factory Studios, where pre-production has begun on bringing The Most Triumphant Return of Major Tom to the screen. The adaptation of the album and outline of the story is currently available at Amazon.com.
